Outfit Details - Anarkali Suit

Hey Everyone!

Today, I am sharing with you all a dress that is close to my heart because it is designed by me. It's a floor length Anarkali Suit. I recently wore it at my cousin's wedding and thought to share it with you guys, so that you can find some inspiration from it, if you are planning to get one stitched for this wedding/festive season :).
First of all, I want to tell you that my favourite designer is Manish Malhotra. I always keep an eye on his latest work. I really love the flares he gives to his dresses. And this Anarkali suit is inspired by his designs only. I did not want to copy his design but to get inspiration from his work :).

The first thing you see here is its Yoke. A magenta-purple coloured brocade cloth with golden flower pattern on it. I chose a matching lace to attach on the arms, neck and end of the yoke.

The lower part of the anarkali (starting from the waist till floor) is made from the net material (8 meters),dyed in sea green colour, with a golden shimmery lining under it which I love a lot as it makes the suit different from other anarkalis available in the market. At the end of the suit, there are two different types of laces used (orange and golden) and the magenta-purple one is the velvet cloth. These are easily available in the market.

At the back, I chose these beautiful hangings/latkans. I kept them long because I like that way only :D.

Coming to the Dupatta, it is made of net material, dyed in orange colour, with two types of  laces matched with the suit. The inner one is pink and gold. The outer one is golden with cut-work.

Here are the full pictures of the suit

I hope you liked this post and found some inspiration for your next anarkali suit. Comment what you feel about this post. Take care lovelies. Lots of love :*

Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal Review

Hey Lovelies!

Today, I am going to do a review on Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS:

  • Waterproof
  • Smudgeproof
  • Super Long Wear
  • Moisturizing Ceramides

PACKAGING: It comes in a long pencil form which is black in colour with a smudger. Yes! You read it right - A Smudger. That means, you don't need to buy an extra one for this. Yay! Everything is written in Silver colour on this product. I really like the packaging which is simple and sophisticated.

Smudger

PRICE: INR 725/- Currently, www.nykaa.com is having some discount on it.

AVAILABILITY: It is easily available at all lakme counters and on-line.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH LAKME ABSOLUTE KOHL ULTIMATE KAJAL:
Before sharing my experience, I want to tell you guys that this is my 2nd stick of this kajal. I think, you can imagine now, how much I like this kohl cum kajal. It is creamy in consistency which helps in the smooth application of the product. It glides on the eyes very easily.

Just on the waterline

It comes with a smudger which makes this kajal a perfect product for smokey eyes, especially for the beginners.

Smudged

This kajal has a very intense black colour which is why I love it the most. It gives me the perfect dark black colour

Top - Double swipes
Bottom - Single swipe

I don't know why Lakme has claimed it to be smudgeproof as it smudges if you rub your eyes. One thing which is missing in its packaging is a Sharpener. So, I had to buy a separate one specially for this kajal. But that's OK as I bought a multi purpose sharpener ;). It is waterproof which I really like about this product. On normal days, I apply this kajal just on the waterline and I am ready to go. On special occasions, I like to smudge it out a little to give smokey effect to my eyes ;).

PROS:

  • Nice packaging
  • Comes with smudger
  • Waterproof
  • Glides on easily
  • Perfect for smokey eyes look
  • Easily available
  • Intense black colour
  • Long staying power
CONS:

  • Sharpener not available
  • Smudges if not taken care of while on eyes
  • Pricey

OVERALL VIEW: I would say that it is a multi purpose kajal as we can apply it just on the waterline, do smokey-eye look and use it as a liner on the eye lid. It just needs a little care as it is not smudgeproof. But you can give it a try :).

RATING: 4/5

Outfit Of The Day - Birthday Dress

Hey Beautiful People!

Happy Navratras to you all. Hope you are enjoying the festive season. Today's post is about my Birthday Outfit. It was my 26th birthday yesterday i.e. 14th of October and I want to share my outfit details with you all, my lovelies. But before that, let's have a look at my yummy Birthday Cakes ;). Enjoy!

Now, let's get started with the Outfit Details

I chose to wear an Indo-western dress because I got bored from wearing western dresses all the time. This one is a front-slit dress which was gifted by my Mom. It's a mint green coloured top with beautiful flower print on it. The material of this top is digital printed lined silk. It is fitted till waist, extending flair till hemline. There is a full attached poly cotton lining in it.

I paired it up with a plain black pant to add a touch of western look in it and green high heels.

I accessorized the outfit with a metallic-gold clutch which was gifted by my sweet Sis-in-law.

I did not go for a heavy make-up. The bindi added brightness to my face.

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Top - Gifted by Mom
Pant - Exten
Heels - Ronney Grey
Clutch - Gifted by Sis-in-law

That's all with the Birthday Outfit details. And now, have a look on all my birthday gifts :D.

How did you find this outfit and post? Please tell in the comment section below :). Lots of love to you all. Take care.

Outfit Of The Day - Long Slit Top

Hey Beautiful Ladies!

I hope you all are doing great. Today, I am going to share a Fashion post with you all. I love to try different styles of clothes and will share my favourite ones with you :). I want to start with my most favourite outfit these days.

I was going for dinner at my Aunt's place in New Delhi. I was meeting her for the first time after my marriage. So, I wanted to wear something different than the same Jeans-Top, 1 Piece or Ethinic Wear.

I chose to wear this beautiful front and side slit top with a loose off-white ankle length pant. I paired this outfit with a black sling bag and green heels. All the outfit details will be at the end of this post :). This top is very long. Even with the high heels, it touches the ground and that's the reason I love this outfit the most. It gives me the red carpet outfit feeling as it just flows when I walk.

Girls, I want you to know that slit tops are very much in trend these days. I opted to wear it with pant but you can wear it with leggings or even with shorts. I did not accessorize this outfit much. I wore a simple diamond pendant, two rings and small earings with it as I was going to a normal house dinner. A big neck-piece or big earings will look great with this outfit. I will try that also next time ;).

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Slit Top - Missa More Clothing
Pant - Zara
Sling Bag - Charles and Keith
Heels - Ronney Grey

So, tell me, how did you find this post? I hope this post helps you out in choosing your next outfit ;). See you all in the next post. Till then, take care and enjoy :*

Easy 10 Minutes Everyday Makeup

Hey Lovelies!

I am really Sorry for not posting anything on the blog in last few days. Actually I was not in town and it was difficult for me to post from there. I hope you understand and will try it won,t happen again :). I am really excited to write this post as I am going to share an Everyday Make-up look with you guys which you can do in just 10 minutes. It is more of a No Make-up Look. It will make you look fresh and lovely as ever. Let us get started!

PRODUCTS USED:
  • Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 24 PA++
  • Mac Select Cover-Up Corrector in the shade NW35
  • Maybelline Clear Glow BB Cream in the shade Radiance
  • Lakme Radiance Compact in the shade Natural Pearl
  • Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in the shade Peachy Sweetie
  • NYX Gel Liner in the shade Jet Black
  • Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara
  • Mac Lipstick in the shade Meher
  • Makeup Bushes by Forever New

These are the products that I use for this look but you can always use similar products which are already with you.

LET'S BEGIN WITH THE TUTORIAL:

1. Apply a moisturizer or lotion on your freshly washed face. Let it sink into your skin for a few minutes.

 2. If you have dark spots on your skin or under the eyes, apply a corrector on those particular areas. Dab it gently with your index finger on the spots. For Indian skin, a peach coloured corrector is suitable for most of the skin tones. It helps in cancelling out the dark spots.

3. Now, apply BB Cream/CC Cream/ Tinted Moisturizer on your face. First, dot it all over face and then, with the help of your fingers, blend it into your skin.

4. If you have oily skin or if you want more coverage on your skin, use a compact powder after the above step. It will set the tinted moisturizer on your face and you will get flawless look. If you don't feel like applying a compact powder, skip this step

5. Next, apply a natural shade blush like peach or light pink on your cheeks to give them a natural blush.

6. Coming on to the eyes, apply very thin line of eyeliner on top of your eyes and then, apply kajal  just on corners of your water line. To open up your eyes, apply mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

7. At the end, apply a lipstick of your choice. You can go for any shade of lipstick, depending upon your mood.

FINAL LOOK:

This is how to create this everyday make-up look for fresh and glowing face without being harsh to your skin every day. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you try this look, do tell me in the comments section below. If you want me to do any specific make-up look, let me know that also. See you in the next post loves. Till then, take care J.
