Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi Everyone...

My last post was about Huda Beauty Eid Special Set which had 6 products in it. One of them was an eyeshadow palette 'Mauve Obsessions' which I am reviewing for you guys in this post. Click here to check out all the products and price of the box.

It's a small cardboard packaging which is very travel-friendly. It contains 9 colours (6 matte & 3 foiled). It includes mirror also which is very convenient as you don't need to carry an extra mirror. It has magnetic opening and closing so that the product remains intact.

AUD 48
INR 2500
USD 27

This is an AMAZING palette. Beautiful browns and pinks, including base and transition colours. The palette has 6 matte and 3 foiled eyeshadows. The colours are very pigmented. You don't have to struggle getting the desired colour pay off.

Eye makeup using Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette
All the shades are easy to blend. The foiled eyeshadows are very beautiful and opaque. I like to use my finger to apply the foiled eyeshadows on my lid to get the best result. And the most amazing part of this palette is that it has ZERO fall out. This palette is the best one I have used till now. Really happy with it. Yes, it is on a higher end. That's why I didn't purchase it individually. But if money doesn't matter much for you or you get some discount or offer on this palette then definitely go for it. They have many varieties of Obsession Palettes. So, you can choose according to your colour choice. Check them all here

  • Travel-friendly packaging
  • Comes with a mirror
  • Contains 9 colours (6 matte, 3 foiled)
  • Cruelty free
  • Very pigmented colours
  • No fall outs
  • Easy to blend
  • Easily available

  • Quite expensive
  • 9 x 1.1g of product for this much price

I would highly recommend this palette but again, if you don't want to invest in an eyeshadow palette then leave it as it is very expensive. But if you get any deal or offer (like me) then definitely give it a go.

Hope this review is helpful for you. Let me know what you think about this palette if you already have one. See you guys in my next post. Have a great time. Take care. xoxo

Huda Beauty Eid Special Set 2018

Hello Everyone....

I wanted to try Huda Beauty products for so long. But they are so expensive in Australia that I never got the confidence of buying them :D :(
Last week, I finally made up my mind to buy one of its 3D highlighters no matter how expensive it was gonna be. I went directly to The prices there were in USD but even if I convert them in AUD, the products were still cheaper than what we are getting here in Australia.
Then I saw two Eid Special deals there. One was for USD 85 and the other was for USD 65. I bought the second deal and in this post, I am going to share what was there in the set/box.

I got 6 Huda Beauty products, 1 of them was a complimentary gift.

3D Highlighter Palette in Pink Sands

The packaging of this highlighter is to die for. There are 4 big size gorgeous highlighters.

Mauve Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette

There are 9 shades in this palette, 3 of which are foiled and rest are matte.

Classic Lashes in Sasha #11

Synthetic false lashes which look dramatic.

Liquid Matte Lipstick in Trendsetter

It's a brown shade liquid lipstick which settles down to be matte.

Lip Strobe in Shameless

A shimmery lip gloss which you can use individually or on top of Trendsetter.

Face and Body Gems (Complimentary)

Gorgeous adhesive gems which you can stick on your face and body.

I am super happy with this box. All the products are worth AUD 220 but I got them for just AUD 90. Isn't it the best deal ever?

I shared this deal on my Instagram account (withloveakanksha) 4 days ago but now this deal is gone as it was Eid special.
I will share reviews of these products individually in coming days. Also, will do makeup tutorial using all these products.

See you all in my next post. Till then, enjoy ;)

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub Review

Hi Everyone...

We all know how important CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) routine is for our skin. But once or twice a week, scrubbing is also important as it takes away dead skin from our skin and leaves our skin soft and supple :)
I have used a lot of scrubs over last few years and was satisfied with all of them. I thought all the scrubs give the same result i.e. giving soft and smooth skin. But after using St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub, my opinion about scrubs has changed ;).
Let's talk about the product now and find out if it's great or worst.

Nothing fancy about the packaging. A normal squeezey tube which is hygienic and easy to use. All the ingredients and directions are mentioned on the packaging.

Moisten face with water. Dispense product onto fingertip and massage over face. Rinse with water. For best results, use 3 to 4 times per week.

From Australia and New Zealand's #1 Scrub brand, this blemish control formula with 100% natural exfoliants deeply cleans pores and helps stop breakouts before they occur.
This product is formulated without parabens, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and non-comedogenic.

AUD 10 for 150 ml
INR 349 for 170 ml

Australia - Easily available in drugstores and departmental stores.

India - On it's Fresh Skin scrub is available
Blemish control scrub is available on flipkart and amazon but is damn expensive.
I think, it should be available in departmental stores. So, do let me know if you find one.

To start with, I would like to say that this is the best scrub I have used till now <3. It made my skin baby soft. I scrub my face at least once a week and all the scrubs I have used till now have made my skin soft but it lasted for a few days only. But when I tried this one out, I found my skin not just soft but super/baby soft. Also, the skin remained the same for almost a week. I am using St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub once a week but you can use it 2-3 times a week according to your skin requirements. I have normal to dry skin. Sometimes, scrubs feel very harsh on the skin due to the exfoliants present in it but the particles in this scrub are so gentle that I did not face any redness or acne after using this. It's an amazing scrub.

PS - Always do a patch test on your arm before using any new product.

*Hygienic squeezey packaging
*Parabens free
*100% natural exfoliants
*Makes skin baby soft
*Effect lasts for 4-5 days
*Dermatologist tested
*Did not give me any redness and acne
*Gentle on skin
*Super affordable

*Tests on amimals

This scrub is really amazing with great results. I am not sure if I'll buy it again as it tests on animals but if you do no mind that then definitely give it a go :)

5/5 (as a product)

I hope you like this review. Share your thoughts in the comment section :). Which is your favourite scrub?

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eye Shadow Palette Review

Hi Everyone...

Do you like chocolate? What if it comes in a pink packaging? And what if you can apply it on your face? :O Is it even possible?
YES!!! Because Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eye Shadow Palette smells like chocolates and it has pink packaging :D. Oh! I just forgot to tell you that eye shadow pans are in Heart shape <3. So much of girly things in one palette. But is it worth to buy this palette? Let's find out in this post ;)

Eye shadows come in a pink metal box and it has hearts engraved on it. When you open the palette, you will find 16 eye shadows. 14 are in heart shape and 2 in rectangular shape. It has a mirror too. It includes a glamour guide, with 3 looks to get you started. You will instantly fall in love with the packaging <3

AU $71
US $49

Mecca Maxima (Australia) (not sure if it's authentic) (again not sure about authenticity)

It's an amazing palette with 16 beautiful colours and smells like chocolate (heaven). What else do you need? :D
Eye shadows are of high quality and are infused with antioxidant-rich cocoa powder. There are mattes and shimmer shades with brights, neutrals and pops of colours. The brand is cruelty free which is a big Yay :). The texture of these eye shadows is buttery soft. The shade Divinity is a bit powdery but I won't count it as a flaw because it's a base eye shadow colour. Flaws I found in this palette are that 3 colours (cotton candy, pecan praline & black current) are not very pigmented and you have to really work with them to get the desired result. The textureThe colour Divinity is

*Gorgeous packaging
*Smells like chocolate (Yummm...but do not eat it)
*16 beautiful heart shaped shades (mattes and shimmers)
*Cruelty free
*Long lasting (apply eye shadow primer/concealer first)
*Comes with a mirror
*Variety of colours from neutrals to brights to dark
*Separate rectangular pans for base eyeshadow and highlighter
*Ingredients list is mentioned

*Very expensive in Australia and India
*3 shades (cotton candy, pecan praline & black current) are not very pigmented

I love this palette because of its packaging, fragrance and shades. I can easily ignore its 2 flaws as it has so many merits :)

What do you think about this palette? Will you buy it or give it a go? Share your thoughts with me :)
See you guys in my next post :*

Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Eye Shadow Palette Review

Hi Everyone...

In this post, I am going to give you a quick review and swatches of Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Eye Shadow Palette. This palette has amazing colours - from neutrals to brights to smokey. You can achieve a variety of looks according to your mood/occasion/choice.

Eyeshadows come in a Barbie Pink cardboard packaging. The palette is light in weight and consists of 10 colours. It includes mirror also.

US $45
AU $65

All the colours are very pigmented and are of high quality. I did not really experience any fallout, may be very little in the darkest shades (if you are using good quality makeup brushes). This palette has so much variety of colours that you can create bright eyes, neutral and smokey with just one palette. It's not a pocket friendly palette but not even very expensive. But with the high quality eye shadows, it's worth the spending. I am very happy with the palette as I don't need to carry separate palettes for different looks. It includes matte, shimmery as well as metallic texture.
And the best part is it's Cruelty free :). Also, it's vegan.

*Pink packaging :D
*Big size eyeshadow pans
*Variety of shades (bright, neutral, smokey)
*No/very less fall outs
*Cruelty free, vegan
*Long lasting
*Buttery soft
*High quality

*I really didn't find any :o

A beautiful palette with beautiful shades. Great options to mix and match and create variety of looks. No problem of fallouts. I am in love with it <3

If you love eye makeup then go and grab this palette. You will definitely love it.
See you guys in my next post :*
