Champagne Smokey Eyes And Red Lips Make-Up Tutorial

Hey Everyone!

Today's post is the last look of the New Year Party Make-Up Series. It's a classic Champagne Eyes with a smokey twist and Red Lips look.

If you like this look, then keep on reading how I created it :).

PRODUCTS USED:
1. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisturizer
2. Revlon Photoready Color Correcting Primer
3. MAC Select Cover Up Concealer/Corrector - NW 35
4. Loreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation - Radiance Beige
5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer - Medium
6. MAC Studio Fix - NC 30
7. Estee Lauder Deluxe EyeShadow Compact - Colors used: Wild Sable, Lavish Mink and Sugar Biscuit.
8. Chameleon EyeShadow Palette - Color used: Golden
9. NYX Gel Liner - Black
10. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara
11.  Estee Lauder Deluxe All-Over Face Compact - Bronze Goddess Medium
12. Maybelline Master Highlight - Pink Rose
13. Maybelline Baby Lips - Lychee Addict
14. MAC Retro Matte Lipstick - Ruby Woo

PROCEDURE:

1. I started up by applying the moisturizer all over my face, followed by the primer. This time I used a matte primer as I did not want very dewy finish on my whole face. I also applied lip balm in first step only as I was going to apply a very matte lipstick in this look. Applying lip balm earlier, helps in keeping the lips moisturized and it becomes easy to apply a matte lipstick later on.

2. Next, I used a peach corrector under my eyes where my dark circles are. Remember, a corrector is always used just on the dark areas/spot, not anywhere else. It cancels out the shadows that dark circles make on our skin and does not give ashy-look later on.

3. After that, I applied my current favorite Loreal Infallible foundation all over my face with a flat foundation brush by The Body Shop. It is a medium to full coverage foundation and does not feel heavy on the face. Perfect for people with normal/dry skin. It gives you that beautiful natural glow.

4. Then, I applied the concealer (1 shade lighter than my skin tone) just under my eyes in triangular shape (Check out my last 2 posts if you don't get it) and blended it with my blending brush by Colorbar.

5. Next, I used Mac Studio Fix which is a powder foundation, under my eyes where I applied the concealer so that no fine lines are visible. I also applied the rest of the product left on the sponge, all over my face to give it a little extra coverage. You can also use a compact powder in this step.

6. Coming to the eyes, I started by applying this matte medium brown colored eyeshadow all over my crease with a blending brush and blended it well so that no harsh lines are there. Next, I took this beautiful golden color from Chameleon palette and applied it all over my lid with a flat eyeshadow brush. Then, I took the darkest brown color from Estee Lauder palette and applied it on the outer corners of my eyes with a blending brush to give them a smokey look and blended it very well. Last, I took this champagne color, which has satin texture and applied on 1/4th part of lids with the flat brush. Everything should be blended well.

1. for crease area, 2. for whole eye lid, 3. for outer corners of the eyes for smokey look and 4. 1/4th of the eye lid.

7. On the lower lash line, I first applied the golden colored eyeshadow all over it and then, darkest brown color on the outer corners of the lower lash line. And then I smudged it well.

8. Then, I applied the gel eyeliner on top of my upper lash line and also on the waterline. I completed the eye make-up by applying the mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

9. For cheeks, I went for a bronzer with peach undertone as it goes beautifully with a red lipstick. Then, I took a powder highlighter and applied it on my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, cupid's bow and chin. This maybelline highlighter gives me a lovely glow.

10. For lips, I went for this very beautiful red lipstick Ruby Woo by MAC. My favorite red lipstick, perfect for Indian skin tone.

With that, this look is complete. Here are some more pictures of this look.

Wish you all a very Happy New Year 2016. Hope this year brings prosperity, success and happiness in your lives. Also, I want to Thanks each one of you for supporting as well as motivating me for all the work I am doing. I really feel inspired because of you guys. Thank you so much for believing in me. Love you all :-*. Have a great New Year Eve. Enjoy!

Brown Smokey Eyes With Berry Lips Make-Up Tutorial

Hey Beautiful Girls!

Today's post is on the night time party look for New Year. As it's winter season in India, this look will be a perfect bold look. The combination of Brown smokey eyes with Berry Lips is a statement look and it is very important to carry it with full confidence (which I know you girls will :*).

So, let's get into the tutorial.

PRODUCTS USED:
1. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisturizer
2. Natio Ageless Illuminating Primer
3. MAC Studio Finish Concealer - NW 35
4. MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation - NC 30
5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer - Medium
6. MAC Studio Fix - NC 30
7. Estee Lauder Deluxe All Over Face Compact - Colors used: Peach Passion (Blush) and Bronze Goddess Medium ( Bronzer)
8. Estee Lauder Deluxe EyeShadow Compact - Colors used: Wild Sable, Hot Cinnamon and Lavish Mink
9. Estee Lauder Pure Color Intense Kajal EyeLiner - Blackened Black
10. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara
11. Rimmel London Eyebrow Pencil - Dark Brown
12. Loreal Collection Star Lipstick by Sonam - Pure Garnet

PROCEDURE:

1. Wash your face and apply a moisturizer all over it to prepare it for the smooth application of make-up. Wait for a minimum of 5 minutes before going to the next step.

2. After that, apply primer on your face to make it smooth and also, it will make the make-up last longer.

3. Next apply a corrector on the dark spots on your face, if any. Most correctors for Indian Skin tones are Peachy or Orangish in color. You can also use an orange lipstick if the corrector is not available.

4. Use a medium to full coverage foundation and apply it all over your face. I used a flat foundation brush to apply the foundation. You can also use a damp sponge, buffing brush or your fingers. Make sure, the foundation is fully blended with the skin.

5. Now, highlight your face using a concealer 1 shade lighter than your skin tone. Apply it under your eyes, center of the forehead, above your eyebrows, bridge of your nose, cupid's bow and chin. And then, blend it perfectly with the help of your fingers/damp sponge/concealer brush/foundation brush. This step will help in catching up the light on these areas of your face which will make it look dewy.

6. Next, either apply a compact powder on your face, specially under your eyes or apply a powder foundation if you want more coverage on your skin. I used MAC Studio Fix in this step which is a powder foundation. I applied it all over my face.

7. Now, we are going to contour the face. It helps in giving a sculpted look to the face. I did not have a contouring kit with me, so I used a bronzer which was 2 shades darker than my skin tone. If you don't have bronzer, use an eyeshadow 1 or 2 shades darker than your skin tone. Apply it on the hollow of your cheeks, jawline, a little on the forehead and sides of your nose. Blend blend blend! Blend that bronzer perfectly so that no harsh lines are visible.

8. If you think that bronzer is enough for your cheeks then you can go ahead to the next step. But, if you want a little more for your cheeks, use a very natural colored blush like peach. We don't want to highlight our cheeks much.

9. Coming to the eyes, take light brown color from your eyeshadow palette and apply it on the crease area of your eyes with the help of a blending brush. Blend it till there are no harsh lines visible. Now, take a shimmery copper colored shadow and apply it all over your eye lid. Apply it with a damp eyeshadow brush to get more intense color out of it. Next, take darkest brown color and apply it very close to your lash line to give it a smokey look. It will also act as a liner. Now, once again, blend on your crease area with that light brown color so that everything is nice and smooth on your eyes.

I used 1. on my crease area, 2. on my eye lid and 3. just above upper lash line

10. Apply light brown color on your lower lash liner followed by dark brown color. Blend them together. Now, apply black kajal on your waterline and then apply mascara on both upper and bottom lashes.

11. Fill in your eye brows with an eyebrow pencil to give your face a sharp look.

12. Apply wine/plum/berry colored lipstick on your lips to complete the look.

Here are some more pictures of this look.

Fresh Make-Up Look

Hey Lovelies!

Hope you all are doing great. As New Year is on its way, a lot of get together parties are going on. So, I thought, why not show you guys some different make-up looks which you can try for this party time. I will be posting a few more make-up looks till 31st of December, 2015 so that you can select your favorite look for New Year Party ;).

But first, I want to tell you all a little about my skin tone and type. I am NC 30 in MAC. I have dry to normal skin type. So, I have used the products according to it. You can use any products according to your skin type and which suits your skin tone :).

Today's look is perfect for day time party or small get together or girls day out. It is fresh, radiant and simple.

PRODUCTS USED:
1. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisturizer
2. Natio Ageless Illuminating Primer
3. L'OREAL Paris Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation in the Shade 150 Radiant Beige
4. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the Shade Medium
5. MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in the Shade NC 25
6. Chi Chi Black Is Black Liquid Eyeliner Pen
7. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in White
8. Rimmel London Eyebrow Pencil in the Shade Dark Brown
9. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara
10. Estee Lauder Blush in the Shade Peach Passion
11. Maybelline Colorshow Creamy Matte Lipstick in the Shade Pop Of Pink
12. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the Shade Antwerp

PROCEDURE:

1. First, apply moisturizer on your freshly washed face and wait for 5 minutes to get it absorbed into the skin. It will make your skin soft and smooth.

2. Apply primer on your face, according to your skin type. It will help in keeping the make-up on your face for longer time.

3. Apply foundation all over your face. Always keep in mind that your foundation should match your neck. Do not buy shade lighter than your actual skin tone. It will help in blurring out the dark spots on your skin. I applied my foundation with a flat foundation brush.

4. Now take a concealer a little lighter than your skin tone as we are going to highlight the face to get that glowy look. Apply the concealer under your eyes in triangle shape, center of your forehead, bridge of your nose, cupid's bow (just above your lips) and chin. See the picture below for reference. Now, take a sponge or concealer brush to blend it out. Remember, it will be a little lighter than your skin tone but it will look fine later on :).

5. Now, apply a face powder under your eye area where you applied the concealer so that it does not crease. If you have oily skin, you can apply the powder all over your face but if you have dry skin, you can skip applying it all over the face.

6. Coming to the eyes, make winged line on top of your eyes. You can also go for a simple line but winged or cat eyes make a statement ;). On your waterline, apply a white/nude kajal to pop your eyes up. Now, apply mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

7. Fill up those gaps between your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil. This step does make a change to this whole look.

7. Apply a subtle shade of blush on your cheeks as it is a day time look. Go for a peach or light pink shade as it will look very fresh and natural on your face. Start it from atleast 2 fingers away from your nose. It will give your face a sculpted look.

8. As this is a fresh, day time makeup look, go for a lighter and brighter shade of lipstick. You can go for pink and peach.

With that, this look is complete. I hope you liked this look. Do let me know if you try it out, in the comment section below. More makeup looks coming on the blog. Stay tuned ;).

Maybelline Colorshow Creamy Matte Lipcolor - Pop Of Pink

Hey Beautiful People!

Today, I am going to review a very pocket-friendly lipstick from Maybelline New York's Color Show range. It's really good that Maybelline has come up with an affordable variety of products under its Color Show range. There are a total of 12 shades in this Matte Lipcolor range. I bought Pop of Pink shade and will talk about that with you guys :).

PACKAGING: The lipstick comes in a black-colored tube with a dark pink color line in the center, which is same in all the shades. So, one cannot guess the color of the lipstick from its packaging.

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS:

  • Enriched with ultra-care hydrating formula
  • 12 matte, moisture rich shades
  • Lip color doesn't fade in extreme heat and humidity
  • Shades stay true without drying up your lips
  • Non-sticky & soft texture allows the lipstick to glide easily

PRICE: INR 325/- for 3.9 gm of product

AVAILABILITY: Easily available at Maybelline counters and online

MY EXPERIENCE WITH MAYBELLINE COLORSHOW CREAMY MATTE LIPCOLOR - POP OF PINK: It's a very beautiful light pink/nude pink color which is great for an everyday use. but, at the same time, it is a very tricky color to wear as it can wash you out if  not wore properly. I think, this color is for fair to medium skin tones. It is a cool pink color so it may give frosty look to deeper skin tones. I love this color as it goes really well with dramatic eyes look and even for daily use. Sometimes, I wear nude colored lip-liner under this lipstick to make it less bright. Now, coming to its staying power - it stays for 4-5 hours on my lips, after that I need to touch it up again. The texture is semi-matte which is good as it does not dry out the lips. It does settle in fine line a little. To me, it smells like strawberry flavored cough syrup (which I don't like) but once I apply it on my lips, the smell fades away (which is good).

PROS:

  • Budget-friendly
  • Beautiful pink color for everyday wear
  • Semi-matte finish
  • Does not dry out the lips
  • Good staying power
  • Easily available

CONS:
  • Not suitable for deep skin tone beauties (this particular shade)
  • Settles in lines a little
  • Transfers

OVERALL VIEW: If you are looking for an everyday pink colored lipstick which is neither too glossy nor too dry, then go for this one. You can pair it up with smokey/dramatic eye makeup look also. It is perfect for college going girls, as it is pocket-friendly also ;).

RATING: 4.5/5

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liners

Hey Lovelies!

I hope you all are enjoying the winter season ;). As you can guess from the title, this post is about Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liners. I got them in three different shades - Silver Trance, Violet Volt & Gold-Iation. Let's talk about them in detail.

PACKAGING: These liners come in a very sleek bottle. The cap of these liners is of glossy black color which is quite long and the bottom part, where the product actually is, is of the color of its shade (if it makes any sense :p). You can see that in the picture below.

PRICE: INR 245/- for 3 gm of product

AVAILABILITY: It is easily available at departmental stores, online and at Maybelline counters.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH MAYBELLINE HYPER GLOSSY LIQUID LINERS:
I have different experiences with different shades. So, I will talk about them individually.

1. Silver Trance: I like this shade the most. It's a very beautiful silver-greyish color with a very adequate shine which gives it the glossy look. This shade is the most pigmented out of all three shades. Just one swipe and you are ready to go ;).

On left eye - Violet Volt
On right eye - Silver Trance

2. Violet Volt: It's a very dark purple color with a lesser glossy look than the 1st one. It has nice pigmentation but still you need to swipe it twice on your eyes to get the desired look.

3. Gold-Iation: I actually went to buy this shade only but ended up buying three shades :p. I was really excited to use this gold colored liner as I wanted to pair it up with black winged eyeliner and red lips. But! I am really disappointed from this color. May be because I had a lot of expectation from it. Anyway, it's a golden colored liner with shimmery look. This one is not much pigmented. I have to swipe it twice or thrice to get a decent color from it. My least favorite out of all :(.

Top to bottom - Silver Trance, Violet Volt, Gold-Iation

PROS:

  • Affordable
  • Beautiful colors
  • Give shimmery look to the eyes
  • Easily available
  • Do not smudge at all
  • Long lasting
CONS:
  • Less quantity
  • Other cons I have already discussed according to the shades
RATING:
                  Silver Trance: 4.75/5
                  Violet Volt    : 3.75/5
                  Gold-Iation  : 3/5

I hope this post helps you out in picking up the right shade for you :). These liners come in two more shades. If you have tried those, do let me know your experience with them. Next post coming soon, stay tuned ;).

Hey Lovely People!

I am so excited about this post as I am going to share with you all some photos from my 1st Anniversary trip (Perth -- Kalgoorlie -- Esperance -- Albany -- Denmark -- Perth). Have a look on these beautiful pictures from the trip and enjoy :)

KALGOORLIE
We started from Perth (where we live) on 3rd of December and stayed in Kalgoorlie for one night which was 6 hours drive from there. It's a beautiful town.

Next day i.e on 4th of December, we started our journey to Esperance which was 4 hours drive from Kalgoorlie. But first, we had this yummy breakfast (Mexican Omelette + Strawberry Milkshake) from The Blue Monkey.

ESPERANCE
Words can't describe how beautiful Esperance was. So, have a look on these pictures ;). We stayed there for 2 nights.

It was all about beautiful beaches there <3.

ALBANY
Our next destination was Albany. It was on 5 hours drive from Esperance. We reached there on 6th of December. It's an amazing Hill Station with a beautiful Beach. Rest, you can see in the photos below :*

Awww....See, how cute is this Dog Rock :)

DENMARK
On 7th of December, we left for Denmark, a small town in Western Australia. There was nothing much to see but on 15 km drive, there was William Bay. We saw Elephant Cove and Green Pools there.

See, these rocks look like Elephants ;)
