Celebrity Inspired Make-Up Look Series - #6 Katrina Kaif In Kala Chashma Song

Hey Lovelies...

Have you watched the new song video Kaala Chashma from the movie Baar Baar Dekho? If not, you are missing something. Katrina is looking bomb in that song <3. And as I am in love with her look, I thought of doing an inspired make-up look.

If you like this look and want to know how I did this, then keep on reading the post ;)

PROCEDURE

Let's start with the eye make-up. First, I prepared my eyes for the makeup by applying NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer all over my upper eye area. And then, applied a compact powder to set the concealer. This act as a base for my eye makeup :). Now, let's get started.

See the picture above. Eye shadow palette used in this tutorial is Estee Lauder Deluxe EyeShadow Compact.

Step 1 - I applied a light-medium brown color (1) all over my eye lids. And then blended it on the crease area with a blending brush.
Step 2 - On the same area i.e. the lid area, I applied the burgandy color (2) on top of the brown shadow and again blended well on the crease area.
Step 3 - Using Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Black, I made a very thin line close to my upper lash line and a little on the outer curve.
Step 4 - I smudged the kajal with a smudge brush.
Step 5 - Now, I applied medium-dark brown color (3) on the outer-V part of the eyes and blended it well.

On my lower lash line, I first used eye shadow (1) all over that area and on top of that I applied eye shadow (2) and smudged them together with a smudge brush. Then, I applied the same Lakme kajal on my waterline and smudged it a little onto my lower lash line but closer to waterline.

I completed the look by applying Mascara on both upper and lower lashes, followed by fake eye lashes.

For face make-up :
Primer - Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Foundation - Loreal Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation in 150 Radiant Beige (check out its review here)
Concealer - Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger

Compact Powder - Lyric from Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette (it's a yellow toned powder)
Bronzer - Bronze Goddess from Estee Lauder Deluxe All-Over Face Compact (just on the cheeks)
Blush - NYX Baked Blush in Pink Fetish (on top of the bronzer i.e. on my cheeks)
Highlighter - A mix of Essense Eyeshadow Duo in 07 Irresistable Fullmoon Flash and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Nuanced
Lip Gloss - Chi Chi Lipgloss in Crazy In Love
Sindoor - Divine Dew in 21 Love Drop

And with this, the look is complete. Here are some more pictures of this look :)

Hope you girls enjoyed this tutorial.See you all in my next post :* Don't forget to share your views on this look with me in the comment section below ;)

Celebrity Inspired Make-Up Look Series - #5 Deepika Padukone IIFA 2016 Bold Eye Make-Up

Hello Lovelies...

As you can see from the title, this make-up look is an inspired one and not the exactly same. I have made changes to this look of Deepika Padukone from one of the events of IIFA 2016 according to my likes :). Also, the look I have created in this post is easy and does not involve a lot of brushes and products. If you like the picture below and want to know how I did this eye make-up then keep on reading ;).

PROCEDURE

I have made a collage of the steps so that I can teach you guys in much easier way to do this look.

Step 1 - Draw a long straight line, starting from your lower lash line to little below the end of your brows with the help of a gel liner. Use an angular brush or a thin eye liner brush. If you are not comfortable, stick tape on this area and then apply the liner.

Step 2 - Now, draw the outline on half of your crease area using the same gel liner and brush. We are not going to blend it, so make sure the outline is neat. Also, make a wing by joining the lines of step 1 and 2.

Step 3 - Fill the area with the same gel liner as you can see in the picture above. You need to fill up the area as you see in the picture with the gel liner.

Step 4 - Now take a black eye shadow and fill whole of your eye lids with it. You can use shimmery as well as matte eye shadow in this step. Do it very patiently as we want this step to be very precise and on the point.

Step 5 - Apply a silver grey eye shadow on the inner half of your eye lids.

Step 6 - Finish the eye look by applying mascara on both upper and lower lashes, followed by fake eye lashes which is optional.

If you don't want to go for such dark black eyes, replace the black eye shadow in step 4 with silver grey eye shadow that I have mentioned in step 5.

And with this, the eye look is complete. It is not that difficult, just be gentle and patient while doing it and I am sure you will do it :*

Here are some pictures after doing full make-up ;)

Don't forget to highlight your under eye area to get the perfect look. I hope you find this tutorial easy. Do recreate this look and tag me on my social media pages :)

Pop Of Pink Once Again - Fashion Post

Hey Lovelies...

As it is winter time in Australia, it is really hard to find people wearing bright clothes here. It's not that I don't like black, grey or blue colors but still sometimes you feel like wearing some bright colored clothes even in winter season. So, yesterday I had the feeling of wearing something colorful at work and I thought, why not add some color to my outfit. And then, I wore this at work...

Everything, that I am wearing here, is from India. This mid-length coat is from United Colors Of Benetton. It has black & white small flowery pattern on it. The coat is very warm and comfortable to wear.

As the coat is black & white, I am wearing a bright fuchsia colored sweater under it to give the look some pop of color ;). It's a plain pink V-neck sweater from Rage.

The jeans I am wearing is from Levis. I did not go for a very dark blue jeans as this light color is adding some brightness to the outfit (which is the main purpose of this look). I styled it up with high boots which are from a Jalandhar store - No Exit. The front side of these shoes is leather and from back, they have some velvet material. And I love the block heels and golden buckles on it <3.

Now, to add some more pop of pink, I am wearing this cute woolen cap which is grey & bright pink in color and complimenting my outfit perfectly :). I don't remember from where I got it but it is definitely not from any well known brand. And to add some more color (as that much was not enough :D), I am accessorizing it with a black, white & pink handbag from Da Milano.

Now, you can see some bloopers also :p

So, this is how you can always go for bright colors in winter even if you are a little shy to carry it :* as it has colors as well as that subtle look to it which one can easily carry. You can always add or take out the colors according to your choice and comfort :).

I hope you like this look. See you guys in my next post. Don't forget to share your views in the comment section below :*

StudioWest Maaya Crystal Eye Shadow in Bombay Jewels Review

Hey Everyone...

I would say that it was love at first sight when I came across this eye shadow palette - StudioWest Maaya Crystal Eye Shadow in Bombay Jewels. This palette has three beautiful colors for dramatic/festive looks - Bottle Green, Olive Green & Dark Blue. This Maaya series has 1 more palette which has neutral colors in it. StudioWest is a cosmetic brand of Westside. So, when I was in India in June, I went for shopping at Westside and suddenly the picture below caught my eyes on their cosmetic counter and I just fell in love with the colors.

I bought that palette and now sharing my experience with you all :)

PACKAGING

It comes in a plastic packaging which is transparent from top but has some design and name on it (as you can see in the pictures above). It is very travel friendly as it is light weight as well as sturdy. It comes with the typical eye shadow sponge which I use sometimes to apply the eye shadows on my eye lids.

TEXTURE
The first two colors viz Bottle Green and Olive Green have a very smooth texture which is somewhere between creamy and powdery. Whereas, the Dark Blue color is powdery and chalky. The colors are not at all matte. They are more on satin finish side. The olive green color has some golden sheen to it which makes it a very different color.

PRICE
INR 495/- for 4.2 gm of product

AVAILABILITY
Easily available at Westside stores only.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT
As I said earlier, I fell in love with the colors of this palette, the moment I saw it. The colors are really beautiful, if you like dramatic looks for your eyes. Personally, I love smokey eyes and that's why I loved this palette. The colors are highly pigmented, so I don't have to struggle to get good color intensity from it. Normally, dark colors tend to have fall-outs when you apply them. I felt this problem, a little, with the blue color as it is chalky. But the other two colors are all fine. Its staying power is also great and it does not creases or fades away. I am really happy with this palette.

See the beautiful colors in the picture above <3

        PROS
  • Light weight, compact and travel friendly packaging
  • Highly pigmented colors
  • Affordable
  • Beautiful dramatic/festive colors
  • Not much fall-outs
  • Good quantity of product
  • Stays on eyes for long time without fading and creasing
       CONS
  • Blue color is a little chalky, so expect some fall-outs from it

OVERALL VIEW
Apart from that teeny tiny disadvantage, this palette is really amazing. It has beautiful colors with great pigmentation and good price. If you don't like dark colors, you can check out the other neutral colored palette from this range. I will definitely recommend this eye shadow palette to you guys :)

RATING
4.95/5 :D

Golden Black Eyes ft. Urban Decay Naked Palette + Mac Vegas Volt

Hey Lovelies...

I tried my Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette today for the first time and did the classic eye make-up look which I am sure almost all the Naked Palette owners must have done :D. I really like this palette as its eye shadows are decently pigmented and there are a lot of choices from which we can create different looks - from day to night, casual to party, simple to glam. So, it's a great palette (Review coming soon). Coming to the make-up look, if you like the pictures below and want to know how I did it, then keep on reading :*

PROCEDURE

I pasted tapes on the sides of my eyes (from corner of my eyes to end the of my brows) and then started doing the eye make-up first.
 1) I applied MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC35 on all the area from my eye lids to brow bone and on this same area I applied Virgin from Urban Decay Naked Palette to set the concealer. This will act as the eye make-up base.

2) I used Naked on my crease as well as a little above that area as there is a huge gap between my crease and brows. So, with this step, I am creating an appearance of a new crease line by filling that big gap between my crease and brows. Only a small area is left under my brows. I blended the eye shadow really well using a blending brush.

3) Next, I used Buck on the crease area, which is a little darker than Naked, and blended it well again using the blending brush. With this eye shadow, I did not go as above as in previous step. I kept it a little under that shade.

4) Coming to the lids, I applied Half Baked, which is a beautiful golden color, all over my eye lids using a flat brush. I dabbed it gently on my lids.

5) Then, I took Creep and applied it on the outer corners of my eye lids and blended it using a blending brush on the crease area and corners till it got a smooth finish. After this, I took off the tapes.

6) On my lower lash line, I applied Creep with an angular brush and then took Buck on a smudge brush and smudged creep with that.

7) Lastly, I made a winged liner using Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink and applied the same on my lower waterline. I finished it by applying fake eye-lashes that I ordered from ebay.

Corrector - MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW35 (click here to know all about correctors)
Foundation - MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC37
Concealer (to highlight) - MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC35 (click here to know how I do this step)
Liquid Highlighter - Benefit High Beam (check out this post to know how I use this)
Face Powder - MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC25
Eye Brows - Maybelline Master Brow Pro Palette in Deep Brown

Contour Palette - KAT VON D Shade + Light Contour Palette (Subconscious) (click here to know where I contour)

Blush - Estee Lauder Deluxe All-Over Face Compact (A mix of Bronze Goddess, Peach Passion and Lover's Blush)

Lipstick - MAC Vegas Volt

I really love my lip color with this look as this combination is something different from the classic red, nude or pink lips. I hope you guys also liked this make-up look :). See you all in my next post. Till then, take care :*
